For generations of Oregonians and visitors to the state, the name conjures up vivid memories of spectacular high-desert vistas, invigorating hot springs, native American culture, magnificent architecture in harmony with the surroundings, and an itinerary teeming with things to do.

The first destination resort east of the Cascades, Kah-Nee-Ta was forced to close in 2018 due to bad economic times and the lack of resources to overhaul the area’s deficient water system – but since then admirers and devotees inside and outside the Warm Springs community have worked to assemble the funding, leadership, innovation, and grand vision to make Kah-Nee-Ta’s rebirth a reality.
