John Rast House

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the house was built in 1872 by John George Rast, remaining in the same family for 147 years. Step back in time in this nicely period-furnished home. Tour the small museum upstairs, which holds different artifacts that were found on the property, some dating back to late 1800s.

The museum also contains photos of the family, as well as documentation about the brewery and the grist mill that John Rast had ownership in. This property boasts beautifully decorated rooms, unique architecture, and fascinating furnishings.
