She & Him

She & Him feature the unlikely pairing of indie folk artist M.Ward and actress/singer/songwriter Zooey Deschanel. Drawing upon analog production techniques and a shared love of vintage pop bands, the duo emerged in 2008 and Volume One, a collection of songs that introduced Deschanel as a singer/songwriter in her own right. The like-minded Volume Two and Volume Three appeared in 2010 and 2013, respectively, buffered by a pair of whimsical holiday efforts. In 2022, the duo issued Melt Away: A tribute to Brian Wilson, which saw them take on a set of Beach Boys and Wilson classics.
