Founded in 2008, Bar Carlo has become a popular Southeast Portland staple. Inspired by Mel’s Mexican American heritage, it’s known for it’s flavorful, inventive, and comfort driven dishes.
Her cooking pulls from her southern California roots, shaped by a childhood built between San Diego and Tijuana. Bar Carlo has built its reputation on food that feels both vibrant and familiar.
