Built in 1940, the Alger was definitely old-style, with a 40-foot tall ceiling, art-deco architecture, and balcony. Years ago, a stage displaced several rows of seats, but the 3,000 square-foot theater still seats 344. Available as an entertainment venue for private or public events such as movies, plays, performances, concerts, fundraisers, community forums, lectures, and workshops.
Lakeview’s only theater is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and features one movie per week.
