Always Here Bookstore is a queer and trans worker-owned bookstore carrying queer books for all ages. The store exists to celebrate LGBTQIA+ stories while making space for community, amplifying multiply-marginalized voices of BIPOC and disabled queer people, and furthering a historic tradition of queer bookstores.
Always Here Bookstore’s mission is to create a radical, inclusive third space for queer and trans people of all ages. From poetry to cookbooks, literary fiction to middle grade graphic novels, all of the titles we celebrate are either written by a LGBTQIA+/queer-identifying author or are what we’d call “queer in content.” To the team at Always Here Bookstore, queerness is not only a spectrum of sexuality and gender, but a political signifier of resisting systems of oppression and compulsory normativity.
